The Office of English Language Programs also provides a number of online resources to support the instruction of English, American Studies, Civic Education, and democratic classroom practices. Journals
- English Teaching Forum (ETF) Online
http://exchanges.state.gov/forum/"English Teaching Forum" is a quarterly journal published by the U.S. Department of State for teachers of English as a foreign or second language. Most of the authors published in ETF are classroom teachers. Over 60,000 copies of ET Forum in print format are distributed to over 100 countries. ETF online currently has issues available from 1993-2002.
- Forum Electronic Journals
http://exchanges.state.gov/forum/journal/The two electronic journals, "Language and Civil Society" and "Language and Life Sciences," offer teachers of English as a foreign language background reading, classroom-ready activities, and related resources and references.
