Fall 2006 Pilot Online Course with "Shaping the Way We Teach English" Materials

Overview

A new offering from the Office of English Language Programs, "Shaping the Way We Teach English" is a 14-module video series for training English as a Foreign Language (EFL) educators. The series incorporates classroom scenes from around the world and is accompanied by a teacher trainer manual along with additional readings.

The U.S. Department of State Office of English Language Programs, in cooperation with the University of Oregon's American English Institute, is pleased to offer this pilot online course for EFL educators Fall 2006. Modules from the new "Shaping the Way We Teach English" product form the basis for observations, interactions, discussions, and the creation of teaching plan projects. Teams of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) educators from 15 countries throughout the Middle East, Near East, and Central Asia are cooperating in this innovative and exciting online project.
